Mommy and Daddy took me to see a basketball game. But they kept telling me it wasn't a normal basketball game. The players did many funny things. Some of it was kind of mean but Mommy and Daddy told me that it wasn't very nice to pull down someone's shorts. I have never seen Daddy play basketball like that.

Snow! Snow!
It has snowed a few times this winter. And a few times I have been able to play in the snow. One time I got to play with Grandma Donoho at her house and then Mommy and I got to play one day when I didn't have school because of snow. I like playing in the snow. I like making snowballs and throwing them at whoever I can. I made a snowman with Grandma. Playing in the snow is one thing I do love about winter.

Rookie Basketball
Mommy and Daddy have signed me up for Rookie Baseball, Rookie Soccer and Rookie Basketball. I guess I must be a rookie. Out of all of those I liked basketball the best. For 6 Saturdays we went to a school gym and my coaches taught me dribbling, shooting and defense. They even taught me how to take a charge. Daddy really enjoyed it but falling down was not my favorite thing to do.
Here are some pictures:

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells......
Did you know I could sing Jingle Bells in Spanish??? When I first started to sing it around the house Mommy and Daddy thought Ms. Tammi taught me it in preschool but she doesn't know Spanish. I just taught myself. It really isn't that hard when you are singing to people who don't know Spanish.
I did have a Christmas program. It was at our church and my preschool friends were in it too. There were a lot of people there. I was a little nervous but I just did what Mrs. Cash told me to. The thing around my head kept falling down onto my face. We sang some songs and told some stories. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Frazee and Grandma and Grandpa Donoho were all there. They all said they were proud of me. It was fun. I can't wait till next year.

My first wedding
I have it figured out but don't tell my parents. If I act like I don't want to do something, then I get something for actually doing it. That is what I did for potty training. I got lots of things when I finally went potty in the potty all the time.
The latest thing was Aunt Lori's wedding. I was a ring bearer. I really didn't know anyone very well so at the practice I wasn't really cooperating. Then I heard Mommy and Daddy talking about fruit snacks. They told me that if I went up on the stage during the wedding I would get fruit snacks. I love fruit snacks.
The deal was that one of Daddy's cousins who was a groomsman will give me fruit snacks once I got on the stage. Then I would stand up there for a little while then go and sit by Mommy. We practiced several times and each time I got more fruit snacks.
Then it was time. I walked down the aisle to my mom who then helped me up the stairs. Then I stood up there. I think I stood up there a little longer than anyone expected because my mom was motioning to me to come down and sit by her after I dropped the pillow a few times. Then I got more fruit snacks.
Everyone was so proud of me. It was fun. There was nothing to be afraid of and I got lots of fruit snacks. I am all ready for my next wedding in April. But wait, will I get more fruit snacks???

Mommy's Turn - Preschool Stories
Just one of the great things about Josiah going to Preschool at our church is that Brad and I hear about his day. Some are, "Oh he is so good, he is so cute." (I know that isn't going to last forever.) Also the teachers will say, "He tells the other kids what the right thing is." My thought is oh, great he is bossy. But the teachers claim that the other kids listen to him. I was told about a situation in which one of his classmates was not sitting down and eating lunch as they should be. Josiah said, "now, (insert name here), you need to sit down and eat your lunch, you know better than that." Does he hear that from us or from the teachers??
Yesterday when Josiah went into Preschool he sat down to "read a book". Then he took the book to the play kitchen area, sat down at the table, ate some play breakfast while reading and talking to others. His teacher told me, "It was a glimpse into your house when someone is doing their devotions while eating breakfast." This is something Brad does do. It is amazing what kids observe and you don't know they are.
Another aspect of him going to preschool at our church is that he is very comfortable there. We were concerned that he would be too comfortable and act like he does at home but so far he hasn't gotten that comfortable. But in some situations he is. One day I was "working from home" at the church and Brad was also there. Josiah came to Brad's office saying his tummy hurt. The teachers didn't know where he went. They knew he said his tummy hurt and they told him to "hold on and I will take you to your dad." But Josiah just left. I guess he thought he knew the way why wait.
Yesterday afternoon Brad was doing a project with Noah, which is one of our preschool teacher's son. So Mrs. Cash offered to be with Josiah in the preschool while Noah and Brad did their thing. Mrs. Cash also had three other school aged kids with her. These school aged kids were teaching Josiah how to be a "gourmet chef " in the play kitchen by throwing veggies in the pan. Lets hope he forgets this trick before going to preschool next Tuesday. It was about time for Brad and Noah to be done so they decided to take Josiah over to the sanctuary building to Brad. Before going over there, Mrs. Cash asked Josiah if he had a jacket. He said, "yep, in Daddy's office." Mrs. Cash says, "okay hold on and I will unlock the door and turn off the alarm." Too late Josiah already opened Brad's door and the alarm was going off. (When locking up the office no one locked Brad's door.) So the alarm is going off and it is loud. The kids including Josiah go hide in the preschool. Mrs. Cash is trying to get the alarm off while finding her little access code card. She can't get the alarm off. She calls the alarm company and they are asking her if she turned it off knowing good and well they can hear it blaring over the phone. She eventually figures out that she needs to close the doors before she can turn off the alarm. The whole time she is saying, "take the little guy, take the little guy." Luckily the police never came. (I can't stop laughing about this.)
I am sure I will have many more stories told to me over the years but I must say, these made me smile. If nothing else, he made Mrs. Cash sweat for awhile.
